This was the scene at a polling station on Duncan this morning at 7:15am. We can't remember
ever seeing a line at this location.
Contrast that with the polling place at Bethany on Clipper - still not open at 7:30am and people walking away. Just like every election. Why are the people who run this location permitted to mess with people's schedule on every voting day? They're an excellent reason to vote by mail...Oops. See comments.

40 min. wait at Noe Valley Ministry this morning at 7. It opened on time, thank God. Oh, whoops.
TK - did we get that wrong? Did they really open on time or are you saying they finally opened the doors at 7:40?
Thanks!
Ack, I wasn't so clear, was I?
Noe Valley Ministry opened on time, at 7 am. At that point, there was already a long line. I was in it. Took about 40 mins. total. I was out at 7:40 am.
Everyone there was v. nice and helpful, too.
Thanks! We walked by around 7:30 and it looked like people were turned away. Made a snap judgment based on prior years' experience.
Glad it went well. And stoked to see the excitement at the polls.
Noe Valley Ministry isn't on Clipper. It's on Sanchez. I think we're talking about 2 different places.
Also, great job on the blog!
LOL! You're right. We're talking about Bethany on Clipper & Sanchez. You're talking about NV Ministries on Sanchez & Elizabeth. Too funny.
We're going to leave the post as it is now until we can actually confirm that Bethany didn't open on time.
Thanks!!
As someone who visited Noe Valley from England, I'd just like to say that - despite my general cynicism about all politicians - the world seems a nicer place today (November 5). Well done.
Bethany had a 40 minute wait ONLY because they didn't have enough "official pens" to offer voters. We waited the better part of an hour in line to vote with an "official pen" before they told us that any of our pens would work.
