Rumor: Noe's Bar Has Been Sold

Earlier this month we received a tip via email that Noe's Bar and/or Basso's has been sold:
Rumor is that Noe's (including the Basso's restaurant) on 24th & Church has changed ownership and will be closing for several weeks of renovations sometime before the end of the 2013. It will reopen under a new name. I can only assume it won't be anything like the same neighborhood bar anymore.
We can't find anything online - nothing pending on CA ABC, SF DBI, or rumored on the NVV. Admittedly, we've been too busy this month to stop in for a drink and ask some questions.

Lending credibility to the rumor is this post from last year advertising a Noe Valley pizzeria for sale. Key words include "well established for 30 years" and "not a distressed business." At the time we suspected Haystack was ready to cash out, but now we think otherwise. Turns out Wayne Basso and his family have owned and operated Noe's Bar since 1982 - exactly 30 years before a pizza restaurant in Noe Valley was posted for sale. They took over the restaurant side from Cybelle's in 2008. The listing also indicates that the owner will relocate abroad.

Today we received another tip via Twitter that the bar has been sold, and since we really don't know anything we're asking for your help.

As we're posting Twitter is responding:

What have you heard? We'd like to know more, and we'd like to hear from all parties involved if possible. Comment, or send us an email.

For Sale: Noe Valley Pizzeria

Via Craigslist:
San Francisco Pizza Restaurant For Sale! - $320000 (noe valley)

Well established for 30 years, San Francisco Pizza Restaurant For Sale. Includes Beer and Wine License. New Lease to be negotiated with the owner of the property. Business claims net profits of over $100,000.00 per year. Gross profits of over $300,000.00 per year. Ideal for someone with a culinary background. Information herein needs to be verified by Buyer. Please call for more information. Potential Buyer needs to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement before exact location or further details is disclosed. The current owner is relocating abroad and that is the reason for selling. Not a distressed business.
What's clear is that the listed restaurant has been around for 30 years, comes with a beer/wine license, needs a new lease, and is profitable (by gross receipts anyway).

That's all we know for sure, so let's speculate. Patxi's? Unlikely. Twin Peaks? Possible, but in business for only 26 years. Haystack? Dunno, but they've been in business for 37 years and a recent change on the block may have tipped the owners to how hot 24th St's real estate market is. Hmmm... All three have a beer/wine license.

Noe Valley diners were excited about Contigo, Saru, Little Chihuahua and now Crafthouse. But this old thread illustrates that a) Noe Valley has strong opinions on pizza; and b) residents will search beyond our borders if the pie doesn't rate.

Thoughts?

Best Pizza Delivery In Noe Valley?

Reader Sharon wants to know:
Who are people calling for delivery pizza? For years and years we called Noe Valley Pizza for thin crust and friendly delivery.

Now we're lost. We hate Haystack's soggy crust. I've read YELP reviews for an hour and I still don't have a place to call.

HELP! In this busy holiday season an occasional delivered pizza would be great.
Our choice? Pick it up from La Ciccia or Delfina. But sometimes you just need delivery. Anyone?
