Supes Race: Harvey Milk LGBT Club Endorses Mandelman for District 8
An update to the District 8 2010 Supervisor race that could be significant: The Harvey Milk Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Democratic Club has endorsed Rafael Mandelman for district 8 (via SF Citizen).
Oh, and if it matters, Mandelman was also named one of the Hot 20 Under 40 by 7x7 magazine.

Ah, a Peskin protege, eh? As Lumbergh in "Office Space" used to say - "Greeeaaat" ... With all that fancy Ivy League training, I'm sure he knows how to put the new cover sheet for his TPS reports. Seems like they chose the Candidate Most Likely to Resemble a Google Employee. I'll sit on the fence until he lists some real solutions on his web site.
Too bad the Milk Club has never endorsed a winning candidate in District 8. They endorsed Hansen over Leno in 2000, Hansen over Dufty in 2002, and didn't even endorse Dufty in 2006. The Milk Club has never endorsed Mark Leno in any competitive race he's run. The Milk Club is a shell of its former self and has little if any relevance anymore. The true power player in District 8 is Alice. It has endorsed every single winning supervisor candidate in District 8 and has endorsed Mark Leno in every race he's run. Alice is moving toward an early dual endorsement of Scott Wiener and Rebecca Prozan. That means it's pretty likely that either Scott or Rebecca will be the next supervisor. The big loser is Laura Spanjian's campaign. Without either LGBT club, she's done. Totally impossible for her to win."
