Reader Carol informed us that Noe Valley's Just Awesome was on Good Morning America today as part of a profile of micro-lending site (and San Francisco based) Kiva.org. Kiva links businesses with individuals willing to loan them as little as $25 to build their business. Just Awesome owners Erik Mantsch and Shane Allen are seeking a total of $7500 to repair their ceiling and add inventory. (As of this posting, they still need $4575.)The pitch? "Shane works as a behavioral specialist for people with disabilities at a local non-profit while Erik is a veteran of the Iraq War with a background in sales. But they share a love of board games, and opened Just Awesome to provide the community with a family-friendly game store."
