Announced: Walkershaw Clothing Men's Boutique

Many of you have commented that Noe Valley needs a men's clothing store. ViolĂ ! A sign on the door at 4010 24th St (once the site of a gyspy turf war) simply states that Castro St retailer Walkershaw Clothing is opening a men's store. "Coming soon."

Nice! 'bout time we got some decent mens clothing in NV.

Now I don't have to go to Target.

Isn't that place super tiny? Will be interesting to see how it works...hopefully it will be a success and she'll be able to move to a larger place!

Actually small was the attractive thing about the space. The prevailing go big or go home business practices are what landed us in this economic and ecological mess.
Our philosophy is to create clothes that are fun without being funny, comfortable without being common, and which serve the needs of people in our neighborhood.
Using natural fibers and sourcing our materials locally whenever possible, Walkershaw Man is
the anti big box store, producing local, sustainable, hand made clothes  on an appropriate scale.
So a small space, where we can cycle through styles seasons and ideas as they occur was hugely attractive.
Please do come down.
Sincerely
Jesse Walkershaw
