Thank you for posting this house's photo. There are a handful of these around NV just begging for some (major?) TLC that are in stark contrast to some of their neighboring structures. I often wonder who owns them and what is the story behind their neglect. Not shaming, just curious.

Ummm.probably people who have lived in Noe forever and don't have tech money to renovate???? There are still people in Noe who have owned for years before it became a coveted neighborhood.

Yes but it's more puzzling about the lack of just maintaiining what already exist than the finances to renovate. Rotting stairs, leaking roofs, peeling lead paint, mold, etc. are dangerous. I would think any NV owner over 62 with good equity could easily obtain a reverse mortgage. Normally I wouldn't suggest one but if there are no other financial options then such a loan can pay to maintain as one stays in their own home.

There is a house like this around the corner from me, right off 24th St. It has been a shambles for 25+ years. The front steps are either missing or collapsed and obviously not usable, the flaking paint may have lead in it, don't even know if anyone lives there - never see anyone coming or going. The owner could sell it and probably make a fortune even in it's "as is" condition.
