Today the signs in the window read "Out of Business" and there's a moving truck out front of Mike's Shoe Repair. We spoke to the two man crew inside who said Mike couldn't afford the large rent increase (we're looking at you, Joel Panzer), and that he won't open anywhere else. You're advised to pick up your shoes within 30 days, repaired or not.
No one on site knows what will become of the "Renewing" sign.

Feel bad for "Mike". My experiences with him weren't as bad as some on Yelp but he was disorganized

ReplyDeleteBuzz on the street is some type of real estate business and or financial offices are looking into that building along with the building that Sway once occupied. Just what Noe Valley needs is more Banks and Real Estate offices. #GoodbyeOleNeighborhood

ReplyDeleteA saw three men removing the sign about 2-3 weeks ago. They carried to the back of a pickup truck and drove off.
