Front Page: Evie Chen wins James Lick spelling bee; 93-year-old Carl Jensen dies while fighting eviction from his home of 63 years on 26th St.; Blue Bear Music offers music classes for 5+ year olds in Noe Valley.

Letters: A neighbor writes that Hawaiian Airlines (specifically the flight from SFO to Honolulu) is the worst offender for local airplane noise; the library amnesty program brought in 135 overdue items to the Jersey St branch; Noe Valley's 24th St post office completely sold out of pre-stamped U.S. postcards as locals joined other Americans in contacting our Washington representatives.

Cost of Living in Noe: February was a slow month for sales; the most expensive sale was a $4,025,000 TIC on a corner lot on Valley St.

Store Trek: Chez Marius, 4063 24th St. near Castro

Rumors and Tidbits: Radio Shack's days are numbered; David's Tea is closed and the space is renting for $7,000 a month; the old See Jane Run space is also for rent, asking $9,000/month. The owners of the never-ending mystery restaurant at 1298 Church St. claim it will open in April and serve "nutritious gourmet food" while also "hosting events to think and educate about the food system and how we can use it as an opportunity to make our health, planet and communities thrive." The fire station house is for sale again - for $5.7 million. Authentic Tattoo has opened in the old Sirena Botanica space.
