Announced: Buttons Candy Bar


We heard from Catherine that Buttons Candy Bar will open in the space recently occupied by When Modern Was II at 4027 24th St. All we found about it is what's on the sign: "classic confections, cheerful gifts & frozen treats." No permits on file, no website that we can find. But we did find the d.b.a. info that states the owners are Alison Porter and Donna Taylor.

So... Alison, Donna - please contact us. We'd love to hear more about your plans.

    Really? A candy bar? I love candy, but Noe Valley does not need a candy bar. We need another great restaurant, and not a brunch place either.

    I love candy, and I think this will be a perfect addition to Noe Valley! Though I will miss When Modern Was II...

    I'm torn about this. It's a cute idea, but I'm dreading walking by the store with my toddler. Ugh, now we either have to walk by the yogurt shop or the candy store!
