We've updated yesterday's posts to include more info, but here's a summary in case you missed it:
- SFFD had to respond to Bliss Bar again last night when the fire reignited.
- The Red Cross was able to temporarily house all displaced persons, but is requesting help relocating some people for the long term.

This is really sad, I have many memories at Bliss bar, including my last birthday. It was a nice quiet place to go on game days when all the sports bars were full. A great place to meet someone on a first date. And the owner made a wicked mojito. I really hope they rebuild and return.
ReplyDeleteOMG! This was our ladies' night out drinking spot! Sorry Pierre! Hope you can recover from this!!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if they have plans to return? I really hope so!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to add my condolences to the owner. He must be devastated to lose his "baby" in such a tragic way. Bliss Bar was the perfect Noe Valley hang-out. We loved to pop in for a cocktail or glass of wine. The owner is a really nice guy who created a wonderful setting in which to meet friends or just relax after work. Noe Valley has lost one of its gems. I hope it can reopen soon.
ReplyDeleteI'd also like to voice my condolences to those folks who lived above the bar. I hope you were able to recoup those things that are dear to you and can relocate within our neighborhood. So sad.
My husband used to take me there before babies and get me hammered on dirty martinis. Thus the babies now. We love the Bliss Bar. We hope you come back soon. So sorry for your loss Pierre. We're praying for you.
ReplyDeleteI've been away from SF for 6 years now, but Bliss Bar was one of my favorite places to meet friends in my neighborhood -- it will definitely be missed, and hope something wonderful is created in its place.
ReplyDeleteMy wife and I met there 12 years ago on a blind date, and we liked to drop in for a drink on the anniversary of that date. Hope they rebuild.
