Well, Incanto certainly went OFF about the whole foie gras issue.
ReplyDeleteThey went on and on about rights, bla bla bla.
Why not just support the ban on this horrendous practice and STOP serving foie gras?
I miss the old days when you could park in someone's driveway with your illicit painkillers and people respected that.

This whole foie gras ban is ludicrous and a really scary example of government way overstepping their bounds.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to call the raising of foie gras "horrendous" than you damn well be a vegan because I can assure you the living conditions and standard practices of raising meat that ends up on your dinner plate are far, far worse. I'll venture to bet 99% of people coming out against foie gras in CA are HYPOCRITES!
To Incanto's point, foie gras is consumed by a very small percent of people in the world as compared to beef, pork, and chicken which are consumed in mass quantities. If the animal rights activists want to waste their time and money going after a "cause" at least make it something worthwhile.
I feel like this is my generations' "prohibition" and I sure hope chefs start underground operations to cook and sell foie gras because I for one will be there, knife and fork in hand, with a big grin on my face as I savor every single bite!
Anybody have a clue as to what murphstahoe said?
