Person of interest in sexual assaults in the Mission District from San Francisco Police on Vimeo.
The SFPD released a sketch of the man suspected of raping at least two women along the 24th St corridor. The suspect is a black male in his mid 30’s, between 5’9” – 6’00” tall with a medium build last seen wearing a black hoodie and dark pants. According to at least one tweet there's a $25,000 reward for info leading to his arrest.
To contact the SFPD: "Witnesses or persons with information are asked to call the anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or “Text-a-Tip” at TIP411 from their cell phones. Please include “SFPD’ in the beginning of the text message."

ReplyDeleteAnonymous #2, given where these attacks took place it is more likely this guy is from The Mission than Noe Valley. Technically, these attacks took place in The Mission, not Noe Valley. But hey, let's question every black guy living in Noe Valley...because that's a sure-fire way to solve this crime and reduce discrimination.

ReplyDeleteThis morning around about 7am Dec26 I called 911 to report a very suspicious man walking were the first crime occurred. Man was 6ft tall, medium build, baggy pants and a walking pattern just like the video. The part that was easy for me to call the police was that this man was on foot heading south bound on potrero ave at 25st. I called the police, it took 25min for them to even show up. They say this man was coming from general hospital. But I say the night of the assault he was at the hospital probably for drug abuse. The officer told me i made a very good description of the man, I only hope they went as far as taking a picture of him to show to the victims of this case. Its was very sad to see how long the police took to respond to my call.
ReplyDeleteI had a similar interaction with the police. Encountered individual who resembled the description/images. Called 911 and was admonished by operator "and you're calling 911 for this?". The SFPD called me back about 40 mins later to hear more details. Disappointing and discouraging that communication with the community appears to be an issue.

ReplyDeletewell i believe that the police is no good when it comes to these things. I wish i could speak to victim of this case. I live right infront of where the first incident happen. every once an awhile ill go out to check everything and see the every day people that catch the bus to work. I always see this one person thats inconsipicous. He walks like he comes from a hike, he never catches the bus and he walks just like the vedio. And if that aint enough for you, i believe hes wearing the same shoes from the video. this man walks from 24st all the way down to bayshore. Why not catch the bus i say? I really believe it in my heart this is the man the police is looking for. Not becuase hes black, but because hes 6ft medium build, walks like he's tough and walks as if he loves it. I believe he's wearing the same clouthing since the day it occured. If the victim of this case is reading this comment. Please reach out when your ready and lets catch this punk. I believe potrero ave is his every day walk, i believe its his favorite hwy, his routine.

ReplyDeleteplease note, this man wears a leather jacket, blue jeans, black and white tennis shoes with white laces, walks with an arm that swings out, it seems he cant help but to walk like that. he has hair, facial hair too, broad sholders and walks a fast paste. I believe this man is on drugs, i will try to act like ill sell him some and see how he responds

This is excellent news. SFPD will be putting out a press release with additional information. Thank you to everyone for the amazing work getting the community through this nightmare."
