I am just tired of all this kid bashing. You live in city with lots of people. You were also once a kid but you hate anyone with a kid who doesn't buy disney videos and move to the suburbs. Yet you also despise "mission hipsters" so anyone who makes a different lifestyle choice then you is treated with destain.

I just bought some Shout; it's a destain substance. Are you saying we should treat "mission hipsters" and NV children with stain remover? Hmmm...they sort of ARE a blotch on society, I mean really. Who needs 'em? I'm a-gonna take my spray bottle of Shout and destain all you! Watch out when you see me a-comin' down 24th street, Shout bottles a-blastin!
i do challenge anyone to take the walk by martha and brothers...god forbid on a saturday morning. i am not saying that its wrong noe valley is inundated with strollers, i just wish the mothers pushing them had a little more decency and respect for couples trying to have a quiet dinner, grocery shop, and get a morning coffee. sometimes you don't realize how loud your children can be and how large your strollers are to walk around.
You know, a lot of the parents pushing strollers full of babies just dont give a damn about the sidewalk space they are taking up, or if their kids are loud, obnoxious brats or not...
they're like the dog owners too. they dont give a shit..
One stroller is fine to get around. The problem is when they rove in packs and won't break the side by side formation even when it's impossible to get by, like outside Martha's.
When confronted with a side-by-side stroller obstacle, has anyone ever tried the radical strategy of saying "Excuse me, can I squeeze through?"
Shockingly, this magical phrase parts the waters very effectively.
Good lord people, I live in NV and don't have kids, and am very aware of all the strollers and walk around the hood all the time. For as much ranting as I hear, I've never once encountered a "stroller b****" who wasn't entirely happy to politely share public space when asked, gasp, politely.
It's postings like this that will make me never read this silly blog again. As a mom pushing a stroller I'm always aware of my surroundings and do my best to avoid jogging the sidewalk. I've never had any problems -- and I certainly apologize if my little ones or stroller are taking up too much space on the public sidewalk. Get a life. Aren't there more important community issues to discuss?!
How sad.
ReplyDeleteWhy post this mean spirited stuff? Is this quote from one of you bloggers? Much more than we need to know. This just demeans your blog.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a pretty funny posting.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading it, all I thought about was "Where there's smoke, there's fire"
If you don't believe that statement, go over to Martha & Bros on any given day, it's a mess and trying to get through it is pretty annoying.
Life is hard enough y'all...why get butt-hurt over a little posting on a blog.

Yeah, our mommies dragged us by our feet down mud paths to forage in the woods for our breakfast.
