We set off to take pictures for a post about sidewalk landscaping and stumbled on this scene on 24th St. Curiousity? Piqued.
Each statue was numbered (we assume there's 6,699,999 more out there crowding other neighborhood sidewalks).
Obviously statues have children, too. How else would we have so many?
We weren't suprised to find it's a (very clever) guerilla marketing campaign. But we were surprised to find out that it's Blue Shield pushing for change. Usually the HMOs are looking to increase the number of people they don't have to insure. But.... Well done. We'll take this kind of awareness campaign on 24th St any day.
